Fri Jan 14, 10:25 am ET. Andrei Sitov, a reporter for official Russia news agency ITAR-TASS, argued that the "quote-unquote freedom of the deranged mind to react violently: It is also America."
It doesn't appear that Sitov — whose country is known for cracking down on the type of personal freedoms Americans value — was swayed by Gibbs' words. He told Thrush afterward that "if you want to stop this, you have to be willing to restrict some freedoms."
